Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

In short: StatDek does not require accounts, passwords, or email addresses. Tournament data you enter (names, results, standings) is stored to run the tournament and is publicly viewable by anyone with the tournament's link — please don't enter sensitive personal information into any field.

1. Information We Collect

When you create or run a tournament, StatDek collects and stores:

We do not ask for or collect your real name, email address, or phone number anywhere in the Service. The one exception is StatDek Live purchases, where payment is handled entirely by Stripe, as described below.

2. How We Use Information

Information you enter is used solely to operate the Service: generating and updating brackets or standings, tracking match results, assigning courts, and displaying live tournament status to directors and spectators. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Public Visibility of Tournament Data

StatDek is designed for live, shareable tournament tracking. Tournament names, player/team names, match results, and standings are readable by anyone who has the tournament's Passkey ID, spectator link, or results link — no login is required to view this data. Only tournament-management actions (recording a winner, editing players, publishing a bracket) are restricted to the browser session that created the tournament.

4. Anonymous Authentication & Local Session Data

To determine who is allowed to manage a given tournament, your browser is issued an anonymous authentication session by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase). This session is stored locally in your browser and is not linked to your identity. If you clear your browser's site data or switch browsers/devices, you may lose management access to tournaments you created — this is a security tradeoff, not a bug (see our Terms of Service, Section 3).

5. Third-Party Services

StatDek is built on Google Firebase (Realtime Database and Authentication) to store tournament data and manage anonymous sessions. Firebase's own privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.

If you purchase StatDek Live to enable paid spectator access for a tournament, that payment is processed entirely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. StatDek does not collect, see, or store your card number or other payment credentials — that information is entered directly into Stripe's own secure payment form and transmitted directly to Stripe, never through StatDek's own servers. What StatDek's own systems retain is limited to confirmation that a payment succeeded, the plan tier purchased, and which tournament it applies to. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. Refunds and payment disputes are also processed through Stripe.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Tournament data is retained so that results and archives remain accessible after an event. If you would like a tournament's data removed, contact us at support @ statdek.com with the tournament's Passkey ID.

7. Children's Privacy

StatDek is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because player/team names entered into a tournament are publicly visible, directors running youth events should use first names, initials, or team names rather than full names for minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
